Phlebotomist

Qualification:

BS – Medical Technologist with PRC License

Receives laboratory requests and verifies that all necessary information, particularly the requested laboratory examinations, is correctly indicated.
Ensures that all laboratory requests received are properly charged.
Responsible for the extraction of blood samples at the ODP, ER and In Patients using established laboratory techniques.
Ensures proper labeling of all specimen received and makes separate requisitions for laboratory requests
with multiple procedures for processing to the different sections of the laboratory.
Assists the Blood Blank staff in bleeding of blood donors.
Responsible for the monitoring and calibration of glucometers found in each station.
Responsible for the maintenance and adequacy of extraction materials at the phlebotomy area.
Performs all other related works that will be assigned to him in the exigency of the service.
Release results to OUT patients and IN patients.
To do other duties or activities which my assigned by his/her superior from time to time.
